| Summary: |
In 'What Men Don’t
Tell Women about Business', Christopher Flett outlines the 10
factors that drive men in business, the 14 things women do on
a daily basis to undermine themselves in business, and steps
women can take to be authentic, maintain integrity, and be taken
seriously in the business setting.
Some of the points
covered in the presentation include:
- Why men are in love with their titles
- How men develop partnerships in business
- What men fear in business settings
- The role of the male 'ego' in the decision making process
- How men sabotage women in business ("the deep six")
- The difference between alpha and beta males
- And four other main 'drivers' that influence how men
do business
This presentation
also showcases the various ways that women sabotage themselves
including:
- Taking things personally
- Declaring war openly
- Assuming that everyone will be fair
- Making excuses for their actions
- Putting ideas forth in the form of questions
- Asking for what they think they can get, not what they
want
- Not getting to the point
- Focusing too much on process and not enough on goals
- And six other areas where women undermine their power
in business
"What Men Don't Tell Women about Business" opens the male
'playbook' to business. For some it is a shocking revelation
and for others it confirms and elaborates on what they always
suspected. This interactive, engaging session brings forward
the hidden sociology between men and women in business and puts
that information forward in an entertaining and practical manner.
A key component
of the presentation is the question and answer period.
