| Summary: |
Today's network-based business communications systems
integrate multiple technologies into comprehensive systems
designed to address your specific business needs.
Unified Communications applications enable businesses to
streamline processes by integrating effective communication
and collaboration solutions. Solutions include messaging,
voice, video, and Web conferencing, and unified
communications clients. These standards-based applications
integrate with business tools that you use every day, such
as Microsoft Outlook and IBM Lotus Notes.
With Unified Communications applications you can quickly
and easily access the people, tools, and content you
need regardless of location, based on your own rules and
preferences. These solutions use a single network
infrastructure for the transmission of data, voice, and
video traffic, delivering the business benefits of a
converged network -- increased productivity, greater
business flexibility, and reduced operational costs -- to
enterprise level organizations.
Topics covered will include:
- Market Environment
- Opportunities with Unified Communications
- Next Generation Applications
- The Network is the Platform
- Career Opportunities in Unified Communications
