| Summary: |
Viruses,
Spam, Phishing, Rootkits, Spyware... the list goes on. Computer
threats today are numerous, varied and dangerous. Email and
network worms have the capability to seriously impact your infrastructure
in a matter of minutes. Phishing threats are luring users into
revealing private account information and allowing thieves to
steal money and identities. Spyware and Adware are invading
your computers and affecting productivity. Spam has turned from
annoying into malicious attacks. All these types of threats
can expose your data to the 'bad guys' and put you at risk.
This presentation will help you better understand these current
threats, how they have been evolving, and how you can keep the
vandals at bay in the office and at home. I'll discuss some
countermeasures and best practices for the end user, including
showing examples of current exploits and the tactics being used
to trick you into opening malware.
