Speaker Bio: Darick Tong

Darick Tong is the technical lead for the Gmail front end. With the development and release of Gmail, Darick and his team innovated and popularized advanced web application techniques now known as "AJAX".  He continues to work in this sphere of web applications, looking for new ways to improve both software development and user experience.

Lydia Ash

A senior QA manager at Google, Lydia brings both a technical point of view and a breadth of scope to her talks. Formerly a manager at Microsoft, Lydia was a member of the teams delivering large enterprise products such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange, and managed the testing for Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Now at Google Lydia manages many teams of testers who are responsible for such projects as Google Talk, Google Pack, Google SiteMaps, and Google Video Player among others. Lydia's book The Web Testing Companion has received much recognition as one of the foremost books on testing web applications.

Registration Policy: Registration will be on a first-come first-serve basis. All attendees must pre-register by noon, Monday, April 24, 2006.

No walk-ins will be allowed for this meeting, so be sure to register early.
