October 17th Meeting

Stop Hating Your Job! What are the 10 Things You Can Do to Improve Your Job? Free Event! Joint Meeting with AWIS!

IT Talent Crisis

Companies are beginning to take succession planning and talent pipelining very seriously as the baby boomers continue to exit the workplace in droves. AWC/PS would like to organize a one-day event, potentially with other organizations, to explore what local companies and universities are doing about growing IT talent, retaining company knowledge and planning for spikes in numbers of IT retirees. This event will be a workshop, with breakout discussions and different speakers on a variety of topics, geared toward hiring managers, students and recruiters/HR. Check back soon for details!

AWCPS has been featured as a networking resource in Michelle Goodman's September 2006 "Gender: F" column in the Seattle Times
